Sometimes when we are in a caloric deficit, we miss out on key nutrients that our body needs to function properly . I’m all for weight loss, but I also want to feel well. I want to be healthy, strong, happy, and energetic. And if supplements can help me feel my best when I’m trying to lose weight, I’m in.

Studies show that an Omega supplement, Multivitamin, and protein will be beneficial to take while trying to lose weight. And honestly, no one eats the perfect diet, supplementation can simply help make sure we are getting all we need to function optimally.

I try to fuel my body best always, whether I’m trying lose weight or not. When I fuel better, I function better. When I function better, I feel better. When I feel better I have more energy. When I have more energy, I move more. When I move more, I burn more calories. Burning more calories than you intake = fat loss.

Same goes for my diet. When I’m taking supplements that help my hormones, cortisol levels, mood, and sleep, I feel better, my portions sizes are appropriate, and I wake up feeling refreshed. When I fuel better, I feel better which means I function better.

So, did I need supplements to get results? I think I did. They help me feel better. They healed my gut so I don’t crave the junk. They gave me energy so I can be my best. I wasn’t so moody all the time. There’s nothing wrong with using tools to help you get to where you need to be.

I didn’t count calories or macros, no keto, no crazy diets. No hours doing cardio. Just small steps, taken daily, over time. There is no quick fix, but there are tools out there to help you get your goals if you’re willing to be consistent.
