Charge up your Metabolism!


Everyone wants to know how to speed up their metabolism so they can burn some extra calories. Before we get into that, let me explain what your metabolism actually is. Simply; its the sum of everything your body does. The faster your metabolism runs, the more calories you burn. You actually have control of how fast your metabolism runs. You can burn up to 600 extra calories a day just by implementing ways to speed up your metabolism.

Ready for my top tips? Here we go!

1. Eat breakfast every single day.

Yep, I know, you've heard this before, but I can't not talk about it. When you skip breakfast (or any meals), your body goes into starvation mode. It thinks its not going to get any food, so it will keep your body fat right where it is. Skipping meals does nothing but slow your metabolism down. Please eat my friends!!!

2. Workout

If you're not staying active, now is the time to start! Not only will a great workout charge up your metabolism, but you'll feel amazing afterwards! Try interval training. 3. Take an omega supplement

When combined with exercise, omegas increase the activity of your fat-burning enzymes. Pretty cool right?! Here is my plant-based omega I take daily.

4. Catch some Zzz's

When you sleep less than you should, you throw off the amounts of leptin and ghrelin — hormones that help regulate energy use and appetite, that your body produces. Try your best to get 8 hours of restful sleep. I know this is hard, I'm a new mom so I get it, but please try!

5. Get some Akkermansia in your system

What's Akkermansia? Recent research has revealed amazing abilities of probiotic bacteria called Akkermansia muciniphila residing in the gut of most people. These bacteria influence if your body will increase or decrease belly fat, science is cool isn't it?! I drink this every single day. It's proven to increase Akkermansia in your gut by 250 times!
